The Walker Sawbuck packsaddle is the finest on the market. Using heavy US made Hermann Oak harness leather, these are made one at a time in our shop on the R.L. Masterson pattern which was developed in the canyons of Hells Canyon and the Salmon River.
Complete adjustment to the individual horse or mule is gained through the four rear quarter straps, the four breast collar straps and the four hip pad drop straps.
The breast collar is shaped to put the “going uphill” pressure on the chest muscles, not the windpipe. Double rigged, with two cinchas.
